Accessories

There are lots and lots and lots of accessories for the T39, such as handsfree devices, bluetooth headsets, chargers, batteries, car kits, cables, etcetera. However, those are not presented here. The list below contains only Ericsson original accessories that stood out from the crowd by adding functionality that could not be considered as "standard". Some of the accessories listed below are available in slightly different versions with different model designations. As always, please contribute if you have something interesting to add.

Ericsson CHA-10 Chatboard

The Ericsson 49 key Snap-on keyboard CHA-10 has one-touch keys that let you manage your phonebook with ease. It also makes accessing WAP pages much easier, and to compose SMS or e-mail messages, just press the SMS or e-mail button on the keyboard and start typing.

Ericsson MCA-10 Mobile Camera

The MCA-10 provides a simple way to send pictures over the Internet. The limited memory capacity of old mobile phones such as the Ericsson T39m makes it impossible to store numerous large picture files in the phone. The camera however takes up to 5 pictures in 352x288 pixels resolution, which are sent as an e-mail by the T39. The camera weighs only 25 grams.

Ericsson HPR-11 FM Radio Handsfree Headset

With all the benefits of a full duplex handsfree headset, the HPR-11 is also an FM radio! Unfortunately the HPR-11 does not reproduce the sound in stereo, and there is no option to store the frequencies of the channels you normally listen to, but it's still a cool little unit with good FM reception.

Ericsson HPM-10 MP3 Player

In a time when standalone mp3 players were still expensive, the HPM-10 mp3 unit for the T39 was a good alternative. It was delivered with a 32 MB exchangeable memory card, and also with a hands-free headset. With the HPM-10 MP3 Player connected to the T39, the phone display is used to bring up a menu with track selection and volume, treble and bass adjustment. The HPM-10 delivers good sound quality and weighs less than 20 grams.

I had my first T39m in 2001 and I'm here in 2024 because I've just bought another one. Yes, it's 2024, but it's an impressive phone!

I had a T39 back in 2001 with the IAT-10 antenna. Best phone ever.
I have an R320s today as of 2021 with the IAT-10 antenna.
Thanks for this great Website.

Brought here by nostalgia of that exciting age for mobile phone technology. Those were truly the days!
Thanks for keeping this page running to this day

You missed the charging cradle. The Charging cradle for T28/29/39 is pretty much the best one EVER made for any phone.

The styling, the construction, and the quality of electronics, it is still not surpassed by anyone now, and that\'s 2014...

I just dug out mine, and the charging cradle worked wonder now as it had always been.

I have a refurbished T39 that I bought from Ima shop 5 years ago (MUCH cheaper then!), but the charger was counterfeit and never worked. I hope to get my hands on a genuine one at some point
